Eurovision Song Contest In The USA
The frequently discussed but still popular Eurovision Song Contest partnered with producer and television executive Ben Silverman’s Propagate Content to bring this talent contest to the United States. The American Song Contest will kick off in the 2021 holiday season, with music artists and bands from each of the 50 states competing to become champions in multiple genres.
Artists from each state will compete in the 5-10 eliminations to be released, followed by the semi-finals and ultimately a final series of contests to be held similar to the NCAA’s March Madness. The American Song Contest Academy will be established for the competition. The jury, which will consist of institutionalized artists of different genres, will be determined by this Academy. As in Europe, there will be a referendum, but how this will be done has not been announced yet.
The production of the 2021 contest will be done by Christer Björkman from Sweden, the expert name of Eurovision competitions in recent years.
