Just hours after France was declared the winner of the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the Italian channel has already decided on its next teen song contest. In this latest edition, Italy has decided to withdraw due to COVID-19, but the Italian delegation has already wanted to confirm its intention and desire to return to the competition. “Right now, our efforts are focused on getting a very good participation in Eurovision 2021. It’s too early to think about what will happen in Junior Festival 2021, but of course we hope to be able to bring the Italian delegation back to this competition. Said Simona Martorelli, head of the Italian delegation and Director of International and European Affairs RAI.
